永不凋谢的鸢尾花

朋友转来<永不凋谢的鸢尾花>一文，是记者采访美国华裔作家张纯如的母亲张盈盈女士的报道文章，刊载在2013-08-28贵州日报上（ http://gzrb.gog.com.cn/system/2013/08/28/012629966.shtml）。

张纯如1997年出版了《南京大 屠杀》一书，揭露二战时期日本士兵在南京奸淫屠杀中国老百姓的悲惨故事，连续5个月被列为《纽约时报》的最佳畅销书，引起西方世界的关注。张纯如后来因受这些残酷史实的刺激，加上不眠不休的工作压力，患上了严重的忧郁症，于2004年举枪自杀，才活了36岁。当时我曾写了下面这首题为〈一定有人哭泣〉，在她的追悼会上朗诵。

一定有人哭泣

一定有人哭泣
在这样的黄昏
风从西边来
雨从西边来

而她就是忍不住
头一个哭泣的那个人
对着一堆堆
历史的白骨
人间的不义与缄默

而她就是一开了头
便止不住哭泣的那个人
人类的罪恶
冰峰般矗立在她四周
把她笼罩在重重阴影里
使她窒息

一定有人哭泣
在这样的黄昏
风从西边来
雨从西边来



SOMEONE MUST BE CRYING

someone must be crying
in such an evening
wind coming from the west
rain coming from the west

and she is the one
who can’t hold her tears
after seeing so many piles
of white bones in history
the injustice and the dead silence
of the world

and she is the one
who once starts crying
cannot stop
human sins surround her like icebergs
choke her
with their oppressive shadows

someone must be crying
in such an evening

*Iris Chang was a Chinese-American writer who in 1997 published a book entitled, The Rape of Nanking: The Forgotten Holocaust of World War II，telling the story of the murder of more than 250,000 defenseless civilians by the invading Japanese army.  She later committed suicide due to severe depression.

哑榴

在当今这个纷繁复杂的世界,讲真话不仅需要勇气,讲真话还需要作出牺牲。张纯如和张盈盈是用生命讲真话的两代人,母女俩为了追求真理,不仅牺牲了时间、精力、牺牲了个人生活,甚至牺牲的是生命!她们像鸢尾花一样迎风绽放,在她们已逝的生命和尚还健在的身躯里所透出的,是一种崇高的民族精神,那就是:为真理而战!
