前几天据说Bob Dylan（鲍勃·狄兰）可能要代表美国获诺贝尔文学奖，偶不以为然。前几年也流行米兰·昆得拉，其“生命中难以承受之轻”、“生活在别处”（其实是法国诗人兰波最先提出）等思想，在文人圈红极一时。米氏的思想主要是反对媚俗，而Bob Dylan晚期作品已流于媚俗，失去纯朴清新的气质。

     昨日偶逛到唐人街，有个屠夫唱美国乡村歌曲，偶公开赞赏之，问他有没有此歌，他说没有。后他的朋友问偶一电影插曲的歌名，偶不知。就这么巧，那插曲就是〈Blowing in the wind〉（答案在风中飘荡）。此事勾起了偶对Bob Dylan的思念，几年未听此曲了。想当初偶在深圳平湖买了本〈吉他弹唱著名英文歌曲选〉，有一专辑全是美国乡下歌曲，〈Blowing in the wind〉也在其中。而今，吉他早已作古，书也不知所踪。

    Bob Dylan是摇滚乐时代最有影响的歌手和歌曲创作者。他的歌喉、吉他演奏和有时不很完美的口琴声帮助确定音调，使其音乐从中得以展开并在国内引起轰动。他的早期歌曲记录了美国青年在苦难年代的失望、悲痛和愤怒。“民权歌手”是他的荣誉和标志。偶认为他是诗人的特性造就了他，因为“愤怒出诗人”。如果没有Bob Dylan，无疑摇滚乐将走一段弯路，将不会有“披头士”（BGEATLES，THE）的《佩珀军士》（Sgt.Pepper），不会有“滚石”（ROLLING STONES，THE）的《乞丐的宴会》（Beggar’s Banquet），也不会有“乐队”的《来自大平克的音乐》（Music form Big Pink），这就是他的影响程度。他对音乐的最主要的贡献，这点也影响了列农和麦卡特尼之后的很多歌手，那就是歌词的深刻寓意与音乐成为同等重要的一部分，闲话少说，看歌词，听音乐。
